    Loch Broom Log Church

    The Loch Broom Log Church was originally built in 1787 and was the first church in Pictou County. The church that stands on the site today is actually a replica of the originial, but it has been contructed to authentically re-create the original structure, with wooden slabs for seats and a small loft to hold young people.

    Hector Heritage Quay

    Learn about 18th century life and the journeys of Scottish pioneers who landed and settled in Nova Scotia at this historic site in Pictou, the birthplace of 'New Scotland'. Visit a replica of the Hector, a three-masted sailing ship that carried early pioneers from Scotland. The site also features a restored residence, an old-fashioned store and working carpentry and blacksmith shops.
